Police Investigate Reports of Alleged Stalking Incident and Cyber-Bullying + Injured Cat

Police also investigate credit card fraud case and report of resident receiving phony prize call from Jamaica.

Is this a case of he said, she said? 

Vienna Police reported Friday that they investigated a report of alleged stalking reported by a resident who lives near the 400 Block of Colin Lane, NW 

The resident reported that her daughter had been receiving harassing text messages from an ex-friend, who had also been seen driving by her home on several occasions. 

Officer Digan responded and spoke with the ex-friend, who stated he had not been sending the texts and had not been stalking h his ex-friend. 

In other crime news, police also reported Friday that they were called to a residence near the 400 Block of Creek Crossing Road NE, where a resident reported that her son may have been the victim of cyber-bullying
This case is being investigated.
 
On Oct. 24, at 6:31 p.m., at the CVS 337 Maple Avenue, East October 24 6:31 p.m., a citizen reported he had been contacted by his credit card company and informed that his credit card may have been used without his knowledge. He reviewed the charges and verified they were fraudulent. This case is being investigated. 

On Oct. 25, at 10:30 a.m., at the 100 Block of Patrick Street, SE, ACO Barker responded to the report of an injured cat. The cat was transported to the Hope Center for treatment however it could not be saved. 

Also on Oct. 25, at 1:32 p.m., police were called to the 100 Block Ayr Hill Road, NE, where a resident reported that she had been receiving telephone calls from a Jamaican telephone number. The caller informed the resident that she had won a prize and he requested the residents’ personal information. The resident did not provide any information to the caller. 

Police say if someone telephones you and requests that you wire money or requests personal or banking information, verify the authenticity of the caller before taking any action.
