Vienna Business Vandalized, Stolen Bikes and More Crime: Blotter

The following reports are from the Vienna Police Department.

On August 22, a resident in the 300 block of Moorefield Road SW reported that they had left their dogs in the care of a neighbor while out of town, and when the resident returned it was found that the neighbor had used the resident’s car without permission. The Vienna Police Department is currently investigating the case.

Also on August 22, a resident of the 400 block of Windover Drive NW returned to their car to find all four tires had been slashed. The case is still under investigation.

One Vienna resident on the 500 block of Delano Drive SE reported that three bicycles had been stolen from in front of his property on August 23. One bicycle has been recovered as of Friday afternoon. The two remaining bicycles have not been recovered.

In another unusual case, a local man contacted police after his wife reportedly used his vehicle without permission. The man chose not to press charges, but did want the incident reported.

An employee of Premium Sun Tan on Maple Avenue. reported that the front door to the business had been smashed in and an undetermined amount of cash had been stolen on August 26. The case is still being investigated.
